A Tribute to our Matron Carol Harris-Ingram 1950-2012

It is with great sadness that I must inform you that Carol our Matron at All Hallows Nursing Home, passed away on 30th September 2012 peacefully at her home with her family beside her.  Although many of us knew Carol was very ill this was a shock for us all.

Carol joined All Hallows Nursing Home in 2005 only wanting a few hours a week Nursing. However she enjoyed the work so much, her hours increased and she was quickly able to continue in various roles, becoming Matron at All Hallows Nursing Home, having graduated in Care and Hospital Management through the University course.

Nursing was important to her. She treated it with utmost professionalism. She believed in traditional, “Old school” nursing values with very high standards, that always put the patient / resident first. But she did have a wonderful combination of kindness with authority.

She will be remembered for her bubbly personality and her commitment to all our patients and residents at the home.

She will be sadly missed by everyone at All Hallows and always remembered in our hearts.
