Day Treatment and Therapy Centre

Palliative Care

Day Care CentreAll Hallows Healthcare Trust also provides specialist Palliative Care for patients suffering from cancer, and other degenerative diseases. The sensitive and caring management of Palliative Care is an integral part of our service.

Palliative Care aims to:

  • Affirm life and regard dying as a normal process
  • Provide relief from pain and other distressing symptoms
  • Integrate the psychological and spiritual aspects of patient care
  • Offer a support system to help patients live as actively as possible until death
  • Offer a support system to help the family cope during the patient’s illness and in their own bereavement

Referral Procedure

  • People who attend Daycare can live in either Norfolk or Suffolk.
  • Most of our referrals come via a social worker.
  • People can refer themselves and self fund.
  • All our new referrals are assessed in their homes prior to attending Daycare. We welcome anyone who would like to look around the department prior to attending.

We work very closely with Waveney Hospice Care, social workers, GPs, district nurses and homecare agencies to maintain a high level of service and continuity of care.

Three monthly reviews are carried out to ensure changing needs are met.

If you are interested in attending Daycare please contact us. For funding advice and arrangements ask your GP or social worker. Alternatively our staff will be happy to assist you with your enquiry.
